The only way to get the Weather Matrix is by completing Angler Quests. These are repeatable quests given by the Angler NPC, where they ask you to catch a specific fish.
Anglers are found at 9 locations across the Fisch map:
Pro Tip: Start at Moosewood Village — it has the easiest fish targets for fast quest completion. Once you hit 25+ quests, you unlock rarer task types. After 75+ quests, the Angler starts requesting Secret and Exotic fish.
Talk to the Angler, catch the requested fish, and return it to complete the quest. Each quest also rewards 6–8× the fish’s value in C$ plus base XP, so you’re always earning while you grind.
Each completed Angler Quest gives you approximately a 0.72% chance of receiving the Weather Matrix. On average, players need to complete over 100 quests before it drops — but it can appear at any time. Patience is non-negotiable here.
