Clawman is the best class in Chop a Forest, but it costs 4,000 Gems and rarely appears in the shop. I’d buy Ultimate Lumberjack first, since it gives the best value for most players. I ranked all 10 classes for Solo and Team runs by buffs, price, and whether shop upgrades can replace them. Each pick includes its Gem price, since the shop stock is random.
| Tier | Class | Buffs | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | Clawman | +200% Power, +35% Walk Speed, +100% Sell Price, +100% Rare Tree Luck, +5 Carry | 4,000 Gems / 599 Robux |
| A | Lumber Legend | +100% Power, +25% Walk Speed, +50% Sell Price, +50% Rare Tree Luck, +3 Carry | 2,700 Gems |
| A | Ultimate Lumberjack | +50% Power, +20% Walk Speed, +25% Sell Price | 1,600 Gems |
| B | Chainsaw Specialist | +35% Power, +10% Walk Speed | 800 Gems |
| B | Timber Titan | +60% Power, +2 Carry | 1,000 Gems |
| B | Forest Reaper | +20% Power, +25% Rare Tree Luck | Not listed |
| C | Lumberjack | +10% Power, +1 Carry | 180 Gems |
| C | Logmaster | +10% Sell Price, +2 Carry | Not listed |
| C | Timber Baron | +30% Sell Price | Not listed |
| C | Woodcutter | +5% Power | Free |
I judged each class on three things: how many buffs it stacks, what it costs in Gems, and whether a permanent shop upgrade already gives the same buff. Classes that fail the third test sit in C tier.
Clawman has the highest value on all five buffs, and +200% Power alone speeds up every run. It’s also ideal for speedrunning difficulties to farm Gems. The catch is price and stock.
Ultimate Lumberjack is my value pick. For 1,600 Gems, you get Power, Walk Speed, and Sell Price. It shines in Team runs, but Solo runs need better tools and extra Carry to keep up.
Lumber Legend costs 2,700 Gems and works in Solo and Team runs even with few upgrades, so it’s the logical step up when Clawman isn’t in stock.
Chainsaw Specialist (800 Gems) is the budget pick: +10% Walk Speed from the start, and it’s almost always in stock. Timber Titan (1,000 Gems) pairs +60% Power with +2 Carry for a fast opening. Forest Reaper suits the main chopper in Team runs, and Carry upgrades make it work Solo.
Shop upgrades copy many C-tier buffs for far fewer Gems. Lumberjack costs 180 Gems for +10% Power and +1 Carry, while the Bigger Bundle perk gives +1 log for 30 Gems. Sell Value adds +10% cash per log for 25 Gems, matching Logmaster’s sell buff. Keep Woodcutter until you can afford a real upgrade.
For Solo runs, I’d prioritize Carry and Sell Price, so Clawman, Lumber Legend, or Timber Titan plus Sell Value upgrades work best. In Team runs, split roles: one player takes Timber Baron to sell, while a Timber Titan or Forest Reaper chops. This lets cheaper classes cover each other’s weak spots.
Gems come from several sources:
Claiming the Daily Reward four times a day gives about 140 Gems, so Clawman takes roughly four weeks without runs. If you’d rather pay, three 1,500-Gem bundles cost 480 Robux at the prices I found, versus 599 Robux for Clawman directly.
The Classes Shop restocks every five minutes with random stock, so keep checking for Clawman.
Clawman, with +200% Power and top values across all five buffs. Ultimate Lumberjack is the best value.
4,000 Gems, or 599 Robux. It rarely appears in the Classes Shop.
Every five minutes, with random stock.
It’s free but only gives +5% Power, so replace it once you can.
