Pets in Slime Seas Anime RPG are more than cosmetic, they’re your fastest travel method and will eventually become combat companions. Right now, only one pet exists: the Forest Drake. But getting it requires real grinding. I’ve put together everything you need to know so you don’t waste time.

The only way to get a pet is by farming the Crimson Demon, a Mini-Boss on Crimson Ruins Island. The Drake Egg has a 9% drop rate, so expect to run this boss multiple times.
Before you go:
How to start the fight:
Combat tips: The Crimson Demon splits into smaller minions mid-fight — these are fast and attack from multiple angles. Keep repositioning constantly and don’t get boxed in. Focus the main boss form first when it spawns.
Grind this boss until the Drake Egg drops. With 9% odds, you’ll likely need 10–15 runs minimum.

Once you have the Drake Egg, hatching it is simple but time-consuming. Kill Slimes — any Slimes on any island count. Each kill feeds XP into the egg until it cracks open.
Hatching time ranges from 1 to 3 hours depending on:
Pro tip: Farm Slimes on whichever island you’re already grinding for gear materials. That way you’re progressing your character and hatching the egg simultaneously — no extra time wasted.
Currently, the Forest Drake functions as a mount, letting you travel across islands significantly faster than on foot. This alone makes it worth getting as early as possible — island exploration and boss farming become much more efficient.
The game is actively developed, so expect these features in future patches. The Forest Drake you hatch now will carry these upgrades when they release.
Your Forest Drake levels up the same way it hatches — kill Slimes. The pet gains XP whenever you use it and defeat enemies. It starts as a baby and grows to its max form over time.
There’s no separate “feed” mechanic; just keep playing normally with your pet active. Higher-level Slimes award more XP, so grinding Crimson Ruins or later islands will speed up the process significantly.
Only one pet exists currently, the Forest Drake. Developers have confirmed more pets are planned for future updates.
You need to be strong enough to survive the Level 50 Crimson Demon. Reach at least Level 30 and have solid gear like the Verdant or Refined Katana before attempting.
No. The egg stays in your inventory until you’ve killed enough Slimes to hatch it. There’s no time limit.
Not yet, PvP pet usage is a planned feature. Currently, the Forest Drake is a mount only.
Crimson Ruins Island is one of the mid-game worlds in Slime Seas. Unlock it by progressing through the early islands and reaching the required level threshold.
