Farming Sea Beasts in Sailor Piece is one of the best ways to score rare endgame loot β but most players waste time waiting in the wrong zone or not meeting the spawn requirements. In this guide, I’ll show you exactly how to trigger the Kraken and Sea Serpent spawns as fast as possible, including group tricks and the best farming strategy to maximize your drops.
| Boss | HP | Spawn Zone | Min. Bounty |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sea Serpent | ~625 Billion | Sea 2 Open Ocean | 500,000 |
| Kraken | ~1.25 Trillion | Sea 2 Open Ocean | 500,000 |
Sea Beasts are exclusive to Sea 2. You cannot encounter them in Sea 1 at all. To unlock Sea 2, you need to complete two quests:
Once unlocked, you’re ready to hunt.
You need a minimum of 500,000 bounty for Sea Beasts to spawn near you. Higher bounty directly increases your spawn rate β the cap after entering Sea 2 is 50 million bounty. If your bounty is low, grind PvP or complete quests to build it up before heading to the open ocean.
This is where most players go wrong. Sea Beasts only spawn when you’re 200 to 600 studs away from any island in the open sea. Too close to land and nothing spawns. Too far out may also reduce efficiency. Swim or dash away from any island until you see the open sea zone notification, then stay in that range.
The fastest way to trigger spawns is by playing with a group of up to 12 players. Combined bounty from all players in the same area directly boosts the Sea Beast spawn chance. Coordinate with your group to stay together in the correct zone β this is significantly more efficient than solo farming.
Bounty stacking tip: Each player should have at least 500,000 bounty individually. A full group of 12 players with high bounty gives you the fastest possible spawn rate.
If you’ve been in the correct zone for several minutes without a spawn, leave and rejoin a new server immediately. The spawn rate isn’t on a fixed timer, so a fresh server resets the conditions. This is the most underrated tip for consistent farming β don’t waste 10+ minutes idling in a dead server.
Server cap: Only 1 Kraken and 1 Sea Serpent can exist on a server at the same time. If both are already active, you’ll need to wait or hop.

Both bosses drop the same item pool, but the Kraken has slightly better odds due to its double HP.
| Item | Sea Serpent Drop Rate | Kraken Drop Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Bloodline Stone | 100% | 100% |
| Clan Reroll | 100% | 100% |
| Blossom Outfit | 1.05% | 1.14% |
| Kraken Armor | 0.53% | 0.59% |
| Dragon Goddess Sword | 0.38% | 0.42% |
| Dragon Queen Title (+97.5% DMG) | ~0.85% | ~0.85% |
Note: Drop rates above are based on a 100% Luck build. Always switch to your Luck build before the final blow.
Equip fully blessed/enchanted weapons, use luck-boosting titles like Destiny Marked (+40% Luck), and pair with the Kitsune race or Alter clan for maximum farming efficiency. Check out the Sailor Piece Tier List to optimize your build before farming.

You need at least 500,000 bounty. Higher bounty increases spawn rate, with the post-Sea 2 cap at 50 million.
Yes, but it’s rare. The server cap is 1 Kraken and 1 Sea Serpent simultaneously β you’ll never see two of the same beast active at once.
Make sure you’re 200β600 studs away from any island, have 500,000+ bounty, and are in Sea 2. If conditions are met and nothing spawns after a few minutes, server hop immediately.
Kraken has better drop odds since it has double the HP, making each kill more valuable. However, Sea Serpent kills are faster, good for grinding Bloodline Stones and Clan Rerolls in bulk.
Yes. Up to 12 players can contribute their combined bounty to boost spawn chances. Farming in a full group is the most efficient method.
