I’ve been grinding Steal A Brainrot for months now, and let me tell you – when I first heard about Smurf Cat coming to the game, I got genuinely excited. This blue little guy has been all over TikTok and social media, and now he’s finally making his way into one of my favorite Roblox games as an OG rarity character.
If you’re like me and can’t wait to add this legendary meme to your collection, I’ve got everything you need to know about getting your hands on Smurf Cat. Fair warning though – this isn’t going to be easy.
Before I dive into how to get him, let me explain why everyone’s going crazy over this character. Smurf Cat isn’t just another regular brainrot – he’s classified as an OG rarity, which puts him in the same tier as the ultra-rare Strawberry Elephant.
From what I’ve seen in the game files, Smurf Cat is described as “a Blue Humanoid, with a cat head (more aligned with Sphynx cat) with a white mushroom as a hat and white pants. It also has berries and a snail holding in their back.” Honestly, it sounds exactly like the meme we all know and love.
The thing that gets me most excited? This character has been around since 2014 but only went viral in 2023. Now it’s finally getting the recognition it deserves in Roblox.
Here’s the thing that’s been driving me nuts – Smurf Cat isn’t actually available in the game yet. I know, I know, it’s frustrating. I’ve been checking the index religiously, and while there are signs of his existence in the game code, he hasn’t officially dropped.
According to recent information, there are signs of its existence in the index, which usually hints at upcoming characters. This is actually how I’ve been tracking most of the new releases – the index is like a crystal ball for upcoming brainrots.
The developers haven’t given us an exact release date, but based on my experience with other OG characters, these things usually drop without much warning. One day you’re just playing normally, and boom – suddenly there’s a server-wide announcement that a new OG character has spawned.
Since I can’t get Smurf Cat right now, I’ve been preparing for when he does drop. Based on how other OG rarity characters work in this game, here’s my game plan:
This might sound obvious, but I’ve learned the hard way that missing an update can mean missing out on new characters entirely. I always make sure to install the latest Steal A Brainrot updates as soon as they’re available. Trust me, you don’t want to be that person who logs in a week late and finds out you missed the initial spawn window.
When Smurf Cat shows up in the index, it means it’s obtainable. I’ve been checking this multiple times a day because the index is usually the first place new characters appear before they start spawning on the conveyor belt.
Here’s where things get real – OG characters have absolutely terrible spawn rates. Strawberry Elephant is the only OG tier brainrot in the game and is extremely rare. It is in the game’s code, but very less to almost no players have ever seen it spawn on any server.
This tells me that Smurf Cat is going to be just as rare, if not rarer. I’m talking about spawn rates so low that you might play for weeks without seeing one.
Based on my experience hunting for Secret brainrots, it’s best to hunt for secret brainrots in Steal A Brainrot on servers with a Luck bonus. I’m planning to use the same strategy for Smurf Cat – constantly server hopping to find boosted servers where my chances might be slightly better.
When a Brainrot God, Secret, OG, Admin or Taco spawns, it’s name is said out loud. System sends a message in chat when a Brainrot God Lucky Block, Secret Brainrot (Lucky Block), OG Brainrot, Admin Lucky Block and Taco Lucky Block spawns.
This means when Smurf Cat does spawn, everyone on the server will know about it. I need to be ready to sprint to the conveyor belt and hope I’m fast enough to grab him before someone else does.
While I don’t have the exact numbers yet, OG characters in this game are typically powerhouses when it comes to money generation. A brainrot with a higher rarity will be more expensive but also generate more money.
Given that he’s an OG rarity, I’m expecting Smurf Cat to have some of the highest income rates in the game. This means he’ll probably cost a fortune to buy if someone puts him up for trade, but he’ll pay for himself pretty quickly.
I need to be honest with you – getting Smurf Cat is going to be incredibly challenging. Since this brainrot will probably very rare, it would be extremely risky to show in a public server. This means even if I do manage to get one, I’ll need to be super careful about where and when I display him.
The spawn rates for OG characters are so low that some players question whether they’re even obtainable. I’ve been playing this game for months, and I’ve never personally seen a Strawberry Elephant spawn. That should give you an idea of what we’re dealing with here.
While I wait for Smurf Cat to drop, here’s what I’m doing to prepare:
Once Smurf Cat becomes available, there will likely be a few different ways to obtain him:
Direct Spawn Hunting: This is the “free” method where you camp the conveyor belt and pray to the RNG gods. It’s going to take patience, luck, and probably a lot of frustration.
Trading: If you’ve got deep pockets or other rare brainrots to trade, you might be able to work out a deal with someone who managed to catch one. Expect to pay premium prices though.
Stealing: Another way is stealing a brainrot from another user’s unlocked base. However, carrying a brainrot will notify the original owner, slow down the stealer and disable all of the stealer’s items, making the stealer vulnerable to attacks from any other user. This is risky business, especially with something as valuable as Smurf Cat is going to be.
Look, I’m not going to sugarcoat this – getting Smurf Cat in Steal A Brainrot is going to be one of the hardest challenges in the game. The spawn rates are going to be brutal, the competition is going to be fierce, and you’re going to need a lot of patience and probably a bit of luck.
But that’s exactly what makes it exciting, right? When that blue cat finally shows up on my conveyor belt, it’s going to be one of the most satisfying moments in my Roblox career. Plus, having an OG rarity meme character in my collection is going to be absolutely worth all the grinding.
My advice? Start preparing now, even though we don’t have a release date yet. Keep your game updated, watch the index, and maybe start practicing your server-hopping skills. When Smurf Cat finally drops, you’ll want to be ready to pounce.
