Police chases in Kukirin Life start when you misbehave beside an officer, climb through wanted stars as more cops join in, and end only when you escape or get busted. I’ve tested every part of the system in Mukbang Lovers’ testing build, and the short version is: wheelie next to a free officer, ride in circles once stars appear, and spend the Cash you earn on a faster scooter.
Getting caught currently costs you nothing, but the October 30 “MASSIVE UPDATE” could change payouts and fines, so here’s exactly how chases work right now.
| Quick Facts | Details |
|---|---|
| How a chase starts | Tricks near a free officer |
| Max wanted level | 4 stars, then red stars |
| How it ends | Escaped or Busted |
| Busted penalty | Respawn only β no fine yet |
| Best escape move | Tight circles, never straight lines |
| Best cash source | More pursuers + higher difficulty |
You start a chase by provoking an officer near the road. Hold Ctrl and tap the Up Arrow for a wheelie, press V to ride no-hands, or press C for the one-hand trick β do it right beside a cop. Speeding past them works too. The moment an officer reacts, a Wanted Star appears on the right side of your screen and the pursuit begins. Keep causing trouble and your star level climbs.
One detail most players miss: busy cops ignore you. If an officer is already chasing another player, your tricks won’t register β find one standing free before showing off.
| Trick | Controls |
|---|---|
| Wheelie | Hold Ctrl + tap Up Arrow |
| No-hands trick | Press V |
| One-hand trick | Press C |
| Speeding past | Ride by an officer at top speed |
Every stunt you pull mid-chase pushes the star meter higher, and each level adds pursuers β which also means more Cash when you get away:
| Wanted Level | Police Response |
|---|---|
| 1 star | One officer follows you |
| 2 stars | Two police cars join the chase |
| 3 stars | Three officers join the pursuit |
| 4 stars | Highest level β many cops try to box you in |
| Red stars | Police become extremely fast and track you from far away |
I stack stars on purpose early on β one cop is easy money. Red stars are different: police there will run down a stock G2 on any straight road, so treat that tier as endgame content.
Police cars beat every scooter in a straight line, so fleeing down a highway is how runs end. Here’s what actually works:
There’s no visible escape timer, so just keep riding until your stars quietly clear.
A chase ends exactly two ways: Busted or Escaped. Getting busted respawns you at spawn β and right now, that’s the whole penalty. I’ve been caught dozens of times in testing and never lost Cash, a scooter, or paid a fine. One in-game line hints fines may come later, so enjoy free respawns while the testing tag lasts.
Chases double as the game’s best money loop because everything pays at once:
Need starting funds? Redeem the current Kukirin Life codes first β DEVBUGFIX alone drops 1,000 free Cash, and crates can pull the G4 that makes escapes realistic.
Do a wheelie (Ctrl + Up Arrow) or the V and C tricks right beside a free officer, or speed past one. A wanted star appears the second the chase begins.
You respawn at spawn. In the current testing build you keep all your Cash and scooters β no fine applies yet, though that could change in a future update.
Red stars are the hardest wanted state: police become extremely fast and can chase you even when you’re far away. Circles and diagonals are your only real escape.
Never ride straight β police cars are faster. Make tight circles, cut diagonal lines through buildings, use sidewalks, and turn the moment a cop tries to block your path.
