The Hogyoku Quest is your only way to unlock Soul Society Sailor Piece’s most exciting end-game island added in the latest massive update. To complete it, you must collect 6 Hogyoku Fragments scattered across different islands in a specific order. Miss the order, and they won’t register. Here’s the full breakdown:
| Fragment | Island | Location |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Snow Island | Tree branch near a red mushroom |
| 2 | Shibuya Station | Rooftop near the green LED screen |
| 3 | Hueco Mundo | Wooden branch right of the Aizen boss |
| 4 | Shinjuku Island | Ledge inside/beside the tall slanted building |
| 5 | Slime Island | Tree branch past the Slime Warriors |
| 6 | Judgement Island | Rock ledge on the right coastal cliffside |
Before hunting fragments, you must activate the quest first.
β οΈ Requirement: You must be at least Level 8,500 to start this quest. If you’re below that, Gin won’t give you the quest.

Teleport to Snow Island and run straight to the back of the island toward the small hills. Look for a tree beside a red mushroom. Climb it and grab the glowing purple orb from its branch.
Head to Shibuya Station and look for the building at the center with red, green, and blue LED screens on its roof (near the Yuji boss spawn). Climb or fly to the top. The fragment sits in the corner in front of the green screen, near the building’s edge.
Still on Hueco Mundo β but you can only collect this after getting Fragments 1 and 2. Head to the Aizen boss spawn area and look to his right. There’s a wooden root/branch structure growing out from the ground. The fragment is sitting on top of it.
Teleport to Shinjuku Island and go to the tallest slanted building on the right (the one with the “Strongest in History” trainer on top). Jump across to the small rocky slab or platform protruding from the building directly across. The fragment is on that ledge.
On Slime Island, walk past the Slime Warriors. Find the largest tree in the area β the fragment is on one of its branches. It’s a visible purple glow, so it stands out against the tree once you’re close.
Teleport to Judgement Island. From spawn, head right and climb the tallest rock/cliff formation along the coast. Once at the top edge, drop down a level or two to find the final Hogyoku Fragment resting on a small coastal ledge facing the ocean.
Once you’ve grabbed all six in order, return to Gin on Hueco Mundo and talk to him. A Hogyoku Portal will appear right next to him β you have 120 seconds to step through before it closes.
After your first visit, Soul Society unlocks permanently in your Teleportation Portal. You won’t need to repeat the quest.

π‘ Pro Tip: There’s also a separate Hogyoku Fragment item that drops from the Aizen world boss on Hueco Mundo (not the quest fragments). It has a 3.6% drop rate and requires Level 5,000 minimum to fight Aizen. Use Luck-boosting Runes to improve your odds.

Completing the quest unlocks Soul Society Island, which features new quests, powerful bosses, and the exclusive True Aizen (Aizen V2) weapon.
