A Universal Time Update 5.9 is officially live, and it’s one of the game’s biggest patches in recent memory. The spotlight is squarely on The World, DIO’s iconic stand, which received a complete combat overhaul alongside a brand-new mastery progression system. The World’s entire kit was rebuilt from scratch. The refreshed moveset focuses on aggressive melee combat, knife-based abilities, and dramatically improved Time Stop mechanics. Players can now reposition during stopped time, chain attacks more naturally, and close out fights with devastating combos directly inspired by DIO’s anime sequences.
The developers’ goal was to modernize The World while preserving its classic identity — and from early testing, it delivers. If you already own The World, nothing changes for obtainment. Log in and you’ll have the new moveset immediately.
The unlock method is unchanged in 5.9. Complete the “Him” Quest to obtain The World — same process as before the update.
The mastery system is the core progression loop added in this update. Use Enya’s Arrow on The World to advance one level per arrow. Each level unlocks a new ability or variant.

Road Roller is the end goal, DIO’s most iconic move and the strongest unlock in the system. Reaching it requires seven Enya’s Arrows, so commit to the DIO Boss grind if that’s your target.
Enya’s Arrow is a brand-new item introduced specifically for The World’s mastery system.
At 5%, you’re looking at roughly 20 boss kills per arrow on average. Farming in a private server reduces competition for the kill and maximizes your arrows-per-hour. Since older The World variants stay in your inventory post-update, you can farm safely without losing anything previously earned.
The Unusual Merchant now offers a new Unusual Sacrifice feature, opening a path to some of the rarest cosmetics in the game.

Meeting those requirements gives you a 50/50 shot at either a Black Unusual or White Unusual version of that skin. As an example, ten Homelander skins with ten different patterns qualifies for sacrifice. This is currently one of the only ways to obtain these elite cosmetic variants.
