Gear in Cat Battles is purely cosmetic sumo-themed attire for your cat β it adds zero stats, so the smartest plan is grabbing the cheap pieces early and banking most Coins for game-changing abilities. Right now there are 8 Gear pieces in the Roblox brawler, from the 250-Coin Hachimaki headband to the 12,000-Coin Yokozuna Rope, and collecting every item costs 24,750 Coins in total.

I’ve been grinding bouts since the game blew past 70 million visits in under three weeks; below I rank every Gear piece and share the fastest Coin farms.
Every Gear piece is sumo-themed to match the ring-out brawler’s dohyo arenas. Here is the complete list with rarity and price:
| Gear | Rarity | Price | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hachimaki | Common | 250 Coins | A headband for focus |
| Black Mawashi | Common | 750 Coins | The wrestler’s black silk belt |
| Indigo Mawashi | Common | 750 Coins | A deep indigo silk belt |
| Crimson Mawashi | Rare | 2,000 Coins | A bold crimson silk belt |
| Gyoji Fan | Rare | 2,000 Coins | The referee’s war fan |
| Topknot | Rare | 2,000 Coins | An oiled chonmage topknot |
| Kesho-mawashi | Epic | 5,000 Coins | The embroidered ring apron |
| Yokozuna Rope | Legendary | 12,000 Coins | The grand champion’s rope |
No β Gear offers zero stats, moves, or combat perks. Unlike Abilities such as Nine Lives or Hairball, a mawashi belt only changes how your cat looks while you punch, grab, and toss rivals out of the ring. That’s why I never rush premium Gear early: a 12,000-Coin rope will not save you from a ring-out, but the 2,000-Coin Nine Lives ability literally brings you back after one. Treat Gear as a flex, not a build.
Cosmetics don’t change combat, so buy order comes down to budget and flex value. My path:
The Yokozuna Rope is the real endgame flex; wearing it signals you’ve banked thousands of Coins from wins and eliminations. Shortcut hunters can also get the Crimson Mawashi inside the 79-Robux Cat Warrior Pack, which bundles the Pounce ability, Calico fur, Fish Shred emote, and 1,000 Coins.
Stack all four Coin sources and Legendary Gear comes without Robux:
Crates are the wildcard: rolls can drop sumo gear alongside furs and emotes, with odds shown before purchase. Check crate drops before buying a shop piece so you never pay twice.
No, every Gear piece is cosmetic only. Abilities β not Gear β change gameplay, and you can only equip one ability at a time.
The Yokozuna Rope at 12,000 Coins. The Legendary grand champion’s rope costs more than double the Epic Kesho-mawashi apron (5,000 Coins).
There’s no direct free Gear, but all 7 working codes give 1,650 Coins, and crate rolls can drop sumo gear as a random bonus.
Yes. Cat Battles lets you equip an Effect and Gear at the same time for maximum ring presence.
For 79 Robux you get the Crimson Mawashi Gear, Pounce ability, Calico fur, Fish Shred emote, and 1,000 Coins.
