The Survive Zombie Arena Halloween event is live as of October 2026, running until November 14, 2026, and it’s the biggest update the game has ever had. It adds a brand-new Dungeons game mode with the endless Abandoned Castle map, a two-currency economy (Candy Corn XP and Haunted Shards), six Rewards Track milestones, two new crates, five exclusive weapons, three artifacts, and the Pumpkin King boss.
I’ve pulled every drop rate, milestone, and boss mechanic into one guide, plus the two free codes Nectarforge Studios shipped with the update. Redeem SPOOKY and DUNGEONS first β code rewards expire without warning.
This is also the game’s second limited event in a week, since Tombbound wrapped on October 11, so expect the familiar rhythm: farm event currency, craft crates, and clear the track before the deadline.
| Quick Facts | Details |
|---|---|
| Event ends | November 14, 2026 |
| Currencies | Candy Corn XP (Rewards Track) + Haunted Shards (crates) |
| New mode | Dungeons β Abandoned Castle (endless run) |
| New boss | Pumpkin King (every 15 rooms, ~400Kβ500K HP) |
| Crates | Spooky Crate & Artifact Crate β 50 Haunted Shards each |
| Free codes | SPOOKY, DUNGEONS |
You earn Candy Corn XP by defeating Halloween zombies in any game mode, and it automatically climbs the six-tier Rewards Track. The Headless Horseman at 43,000 XP is the headline prize β a Legendary Offense class built for this event β while Loaded Jack at 64,000 XP is the long-haul grind for completionists.
| Reward | Candy Corn XP Needed |
|---|---|
| Haunted Shards | 500 |
| Hauntback | 8,000 |
| Midnight Bell | 16,000 |
| Soulstice | 27,000 |
| Headless Horseman (Legendary class) | 43,000 |
| Loaded Jack | 64,000 |
Here’s the detail most guides skip: Hauntback and Soulstice also drop from Spooky Crates, so the track doubles as a guaranteed backup path if your crate luck is miserable. The 500 XP milestone is a nice early win, too β it pays out Haunted Shards, the exact currency you need for your first crate, within minutes of playing. Budget roughly four weeks of daily sessions to clear the full track before November 14.
Spooky Crates cost 50 Haunted Shards each (or Robux if you’re impatient) and roll a random reward table:
| Item | Drop Chance |
|---|---|
| Crownbreaker | 0.03% |
| Soulstice | 0.49% |
| Jack-o’-Doom | 1.75% |
| Hauntback | 3.51% |
| Sugar Shock | 5.72% |
| 2.5K Credits | 24.28% |
| 5K Credits | 15% |
| 10K Credits | 8.58% |
| 25K Credits | 4.32% |
| 100K Credits | 1.07% |
| 2x Luck | 25% |
| Respin +3 | 10% |
| 100K Credits | 0.25% |
Do the math before chasing Crownbreaker: at 0.03%, that’s roughly one pull in 3,333 crates β around 166,000+ Haunted Shards. The five weapons combined only fill about 11.5% of the pool; everything else is Credits, Luck, and respins. My advice: treat crates as bonus rolls and rely on the Rewards Track for guaranteed pickups.
| Artifact | How to Get |
|---|---|
| Candy Bucket | Rare reward from the Artifact Crate |
| Midnight Bell | Rewards Track (16,000 XP) |
| Loaded Jack | Rewards Track (64,000 XP) |
Artifact Crates also cost 50 Haunted Shards, so split your shard income if you want both the weapon pool and the Candy Bucket. Don’t funnel everything into Spooky Crates the way I did on day one β Candy Bucket is Artifact Crate-only.
Dungeons is the headline feature β an endless run through the Abandoned Castle that swaps the usual wave defense for exploration. Each room has an objective you must complete to find the key and unlock the next area: rescuing trapped survivors, aligning laser relays, or disarming traps. Pumpkin Guards show up every five rooms, the Pumpkin King waits every 15, and environmental traps punish careless movement.
Loot chests pay out a free Spooky Crate every five floors. My biggest tip: objectives are mandatory, not optional β skipping them soft-locks the run because keys gate all progression. Team runs also make the objective grind far easier, since one player can hold zombies off while the other completes the task, something solo players juggle alone. The deeper you survive, the more crates you bank, so run length directly scales your rewards.
The Pumpkin King has roughly 400,000β500,000 HP across two combat phases, and he heals continuously while his tombstones are standing. Destroy every tombstone the moment it spawns β that’s the entire fight. Keep your distance while attacking (his melee hits hard up close), keep moving between hazards, and watch for the phase transition where his attack pattern changes.
I run Tactician or Bastion here because both deal passive damage while I focus on tombstones and positioning. Burst-damage classes work too, but the passive playstyle is far more forgiving in a run that’s already 15 rooms deep. In co-op, split the jobs: one player peels tombstones while the other kites the boss, and swap whenever either side gets overwhelmed.
Match your class to the job. For general farming and shallow dungeon floors, Necromancer is still the strongest class in the current meta β its soul-harvesting minion loop snowballs through dense zombie waves almost by itself. For Pumpkin King pushes, Tactician and Bastion take over, and Medic rounds out any squad because Mending Tower heals turrets and barricades, not just players.
Solo players should lean Necromancer; coordinated teams should pair a Bastion frontline with a Medic behind it. That’s the same ranking logic we use in our Roblox tier lists, weighing solo and team performance separately.
The update shipped with two event codes that most Halloween guides forget to mention:
| Code | Reward |
|---|---|
| SPOOKY | 2x Candy Corn XP (12 hours) |
| DUNGEONS | 2 Spooky Crates |
To redeem: launch the game, hit the Shop button on the left side of the lobby, scroll to the code box at the bottom, paste the code, and press Redeem. Codes are case-sensitive and one-time per account, so copy-paste them exactly. Activate SPOOKY right before a farming session, never while you’re idle. You’ll find more freebies in our Roblox game guides hub, and Nectarforge Studios posts new codes in the official Discord (invite: fPQDZ2Svtv) β usually one per patch.
The event runs until November 14, 2026. Candy Corn XP, Haunted Shards, and event crates are expected to rotate out after that, so finish your Rewards Track before the deadline.
Crownbreaker at 0.03% β roughly a 1-in-3,333 pull. Soulstice (0.49%) is the second-rarest weapon, though it’s also guaranteed at 27,000 Candy Corn XP on the track.
Reach 43,000 Candy Corn XP on the Halloween Rewards Track. It’s a Legendary Offense class exclusive to this event.
Destroy his tombstones so he can’t heal, keep your distance while attacking, keep moving between hazards, and run Tactician or Bastion for passive damage across his two phases.
Codes are case-sensitive, single-use per account, and can fail on old servers. Copy-paste exactly, rejoin a fresh server, and double-check the code hasn’t expired.
