Best Abilities to Buy First

Community guides rank Cloak as the best Runner pick and Rufus’s Leash as the best Chaser pick. I agree on the Chaser side, because pulling a Runner back is the most reliable way to close a gap.

For Runners, I’d start with Pocket Door. It’s your cheapest paid option, and a physical door blocks the chase, while Cloak doesn’t stop a lucky hit. Save up for Cloak after that.

Since you can equip one ability per role, buying a Runner and a Chaser ability early gets you ready for both sides. Rounds turn Runners into Chasers, so you’ll play both.

How to Get Abilities in Huss Valley?

  1. Click the Menu button on the left side of the screen.
  2. Select Shop and open the Abilities tab.
  3. Buy your ability with Gems or Robux.
  4. Equip it. Remember, only one Runner and one Chaser ability can be active at a time.

How to Get Gems Fast?

  • Pick up Gems scattered on the arena floor as a Runner.
  • Finish matches, since both teams earn Gems based on performance.
  • Complete daily quests and event objectives.
  • Spin the lobby wheel for rewards.
  • Redeem the latest Huss Valley codes for free Gems and boosts.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Buying Emergency Airhorn first. It needs close-range timing, so it’s a poor early purchase.
  • Grabbing an item while cloaked. Using an item ends Cloak instantly.
  • Skipping the free defaults. Bear Trap and One Hit Shield cost nothing, so learn them before spending Gems. For more help, see my Huss Valley tier list.
