FischFest 2 is Fisch’s biggest summer event yet, and the three beach mini games, Jetski Racing, Beach Volleyball, and Sand Castle Building β are at the heart of progression. These aren’t optional side activities. Two of the six Message in a Bottle collectibles required to unlock the Hidden Sand Castle come directly from mini game completions. Here’s a fast overview before we dive into each one:
| Mini Game | Players Needed | Key Reward | Bottle Drop? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jetski Racing | 1+ (solo ok) | Titles, Fischfest-ski rod | β Red Bottle (sub-2 min) |
| Beach Volleyball | 2 (no AI) | Rod, bobber, titles | β Captain Conch quest |
| Sand Castle Building | 1+ (AI ok) | 30 Sunshells/win, bobber | β Green Bottle (3 wins) |
Check our Fisch FischFest 2 Crab Locations guide and Fisch Codes for extra Sunshells to fund your Sand Castle entry fees.
How to start: Talk to the Jetski Referee NPC on the beach. You can swap your jetski model here or do a free practice run before committing.
How it works: Complete 3 laps around the island racing track. Boost pads are placed along the course β hitting them consistently is the difference between clearing the critical sub-2-minute target and missing it. Before your first scored race, always run a practice lap to learn the shortcut near the waterfall (cut right just before it).
Rewards from Jetski Referee:
Pro Tip: The waterfall shortcut cuts significant time off your lap. Don’t ignore it β most players who miss the 2-minute target simply didn’t know it existed.
How to start: Find the Beach Volleyball Referee near the volleyball net. You need at least one other real player β there’s no AI opponent option.
How it works: Both players stand on opposite sides of the net. When the ball drops toward your side, step into the landing circle to hit it back. The ball gradually speeds up, making later rallies genuinely frantic. Each successful hit scores one point. Reach a score of 5+ to satisfy Captain Conch’s quest requirement.
Rewards:
Pro Tip: Join a busy server to find a volleyball partner faster. The FischFest island is heavily populated right now β you shouldn’t wait long if you’re active near the net.
How to start: Head to the sandcastle area on the left side of the beach and talk to the Sand Castle Referee. Entry costs 15 Sunshells per round.
How it works: Both players get 15 seconds to study a sandcastle design, then 120 seconds to rebuild it from memory using a set of parts. Building controls mirror the Furniture customization system. The closest recreation wins. An AI opponent is available if no real player joins.
Rewards:
Pro Tip: Focus on the overall shape first β height, width, and the largest blocks β before adding smaller details. The AI opponent is beatable, so never skip a round just because you can’t find a human partner.

Collecting all six Message Bottles is the main progression gate in FischFest 2. Mini games supply two of them:
| Bottle Color | Source |
|---|---|
| π΄ Red | Jetski Race in under 2 minutes |
| π’ Green | Win Sand Castle Building 3 times |
| π‘ Yellow | Washes up on the beach (shoreline) |
| π Orange | Bonfire Blake daily reward |
| π΅ Blue | Random Drink from Tiki Hut (guaranteed by 6th purchase) |
| π©· Pink Conch | Captain Conch questline completion |
Once all six are collected (plus digging up 7 Conch pieces with a Plastic Shovel), the giant Sand Castle opens, leading to the Heart of the Island and the Starshell Rod β the main storyline endgame reward.
For a full breakdown of all Sunshell spending options, see our Fisch FischFest 2 Sunshell Guide.
Jetski Racing and Sand Castle Building have AI/solo options. Beach Volleyball requires two real players β no AI mode exists for it.
Entry is 15 Sunshells per round. Each win pays 30 Sunshells, so you net +15 per win after the fee.
The Red Bottle is one of six required to open the giant Sand Castle and access the Heart of the Island. It drops from completing Jetski Racing in under 2 minutes.
Yes β it’s an exclusive event rod not available anywhere else in Fisch. Once FischFest 2 ends, it’s gone permanently.
All FischFest 2 items are limited-time. Rods, titles, and cosmetics from mini games will not return after the event ends.
