Step 1: Check the Weather
The Liquid mutation is weather-gated — it only appears during rainy weather. Watch for rain effects on screen before diving. If it’s not raining, you can server hop to find a server currently in a rain cycle. The in-game day/night and weather cycle changes regularly, so patience pays off.
Step 2: Pick a High Fish Density Area
Since Liquid can appear on any fish anywhere, go to areas with the most fish spawns. The Forgotten Deep starter zone is great for early-game players since fish are dense and passive. For mid-to-late game, Spirit Roots has more variety and higher-value base fish to pair with the 2.5x multiplier.
