Update 3 adds three new Lyth units, and you earn all of them in Trials, not the Arsenal. Rin Okumura needs a top-3 Trials finish, Astra Yao needs Room 175, and Frieren needs Room 250. I’ll break down each requirement, the extra Trials unlocks, and how I’d prepare your build.
| Unit | Requirement | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Rin Okumura (Blue Flame Heir) | Trials top 3 | Trials |
| Astra Yao (Starlight Diva) | Clear Room 175 | Trials |
| Frieren (Eternal Archmage) | Clear Room 250 | Trials |
Trials is a room-based mode. Each room has five floors, and floor five ends with a boss. Difficulty climbs with every room, and rooms tied to unlocks can’t be skipped.
Clear speed sets your rank, from S to B, and faster clears pay more. A full run can give 35,000 Coins, 15 Crystals, and 25 Lucky Spins. You’ll also earn four foods (Capray, Ham, Oris, Burger) that cover missing awakening materials.
Rin is the only unit tied to a ranking instead of a fixed room. You need to finish in the Trials top 3. Walk up to any in-game leaderboard to see your current position and the rewards attached.
I’d treat Rin as a long-term goal. Push for the highest room you can clear, and clear fast, since three spots go quickly.
Clear Room 175 in Trials. This is the most realistic first target. Pick two units you’ve awakened, stay alive through the floor-five boss, and keep your four accessory slots filled with stat-boosting gear.
Clear Room 250. The room count is higher, so the boss fights hit harder. I’d bring one unit built for crowds and one for single-target burst, then swap on floor five.
Update 3 also gates three separate unlocks behind Trials. Some guides, including Roonby, call these Lyth units. Others list them as classes, so I’m keeping them apart from the three above.
| Unlock | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Silver Calamity | Solo clear of Room 125+ |
| Astral Blossom | Co-op clear of Room 150+ |
| Void Arbiter | Clear Room 325 |
Solo and co-op runs play very differently, so test your build in lower rooms first. A setup that shines in a group can struggle alone.
Clear Room 250 in the Trials mode. She is one of the three new Lyth units from Update 3.
No. According to current guides, the new units come from Trials, not Arsenal spins.
For Silver Calamity you must clear solo. Astral Blossom needs co-op. The room-based unit requirements don’t list a mode.
Awaken your best units, fill all four accessory slots, and use matchmaking for backup. Check my Anime Zero beginner guide for build basics.
