The Anime Zero skill tree unlocks at Level 1 from the left menu. It has four branches, Attack (ATK), Critical (CRIT), Defense (DEF), and Speed (SPD), and each weapon has its own tree. You spend Skill Tokens on nodes, and Attack is the best branch to upgrade first, giving up to +60% damage. Critical comes next, adding up to 15% crit chance. Here are all the bonuses and the fastest way to earn tokens.
| Token Cost | Attack | Critical | Defense | Speed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Start | No bonus | No bonus | No bonus | No bonus |
| 1 | +15% damage | +3% crit chance | 5% less damage taken | +5% move speed |
| 5 | +25% damage | +6% crit chance | 10% less damage taken | +10% move speed |
| 9 | +40% damage | +10% crit chance | 15% less damage taken | +15% move speed |
| 11 | +60% damage | +15% crit chance | 25% less damage taken | +25% move speed |
Each branch has five nodes, and the first is a free starting node with no bonus.
I’d redeem the latest Anime Zero codes first, because some of them give free Skill Tokens.
Here’s the order I’d follow:
If you’re brand new, put your very first token into the first damage node. Move to Defense or Speed only when you can name the problem that’s killing your runs.
My tip: don’t swap weapons every run while you’re leveling. Tokens go to the weapon you actually use, so spreading them across five weapons slows down your main one. Settle on your best weapon from the Anime Zero weapons list and farm with it.
Top damage builds pair Attack and Critical with a strong weapon like Cursed King, Cataclysm, or Flame Director, plus the Supernova trait. For the full setup, see the best Anime Zero build and the tier list.
You don’t have to. It’s available from Level 1 through the Skill Tree option in the left menu.
Attack. It gives up to +60% damage. Then take Critical for up to +15% crit chance.
Level up and use your weapon in runs. Codes can also give free tokens.
Yes. Use the weapon you want to upgrade, since tokens go toward its tree.
