Sea 2 launched on April 18, 2026, and it flipped the entire Sailor Piece meta. New level caps, four new melee specs, a brand-new crafted Mythical sword, and a rebalanced economy mean old recommendations no longer hold up. I’ve ranked every sword and melee spec based on what actually matters: farming speed, boss damage, AoE coverage, cooldowns, and real Sea 2 performance — not just raw numbers.

Ice Queen — Added in the Ice Update right before Sea 2. This sword has the fastest V Move cooldown (~2s) among S+ weapons, massive AoE, and excellent iFrames. Get it by defeating the Frost Boss on Boss Island (requires Frost Empress title). It’s the current top sword for active play. Pair it with the Ice Queen Outfit for maximum synergy.
Atomic — Purchased from the Atomic Seller NPC on Lawless Island for 80x Abyss Sigil plus materials. Enormous AoE makes it the best sword for mob farming in Sea 2. A developer buff is still pending, so it may get even stronger.
Dragon Goddess (Sea 2 new) — Crafted from Sea Serpent and Kraken materials — the new Sea 2 Sea Beasts. A Mythical sword with very high base damage. Keep your bounty high to speed up Sea Beast spawns.
True Aizen — Still a top PvP weapon. Highest raw damage among non-Sea 2 swords, fast speed, devastating AoE. Requires the “Transcendent Being” title (+72.5% DMG) to maximize — see our Sailor Piece Titles Guide for how to get it.
Shadow Monarch — Absolute ceiling sword (999 DMG / 999 Mastery), but the grind is brutal. If you’re patient and in it for the long haul, nothing beats it.
Abyssal Empress / Yamato — Strong all-rounders. Good for players who can’t yet access Ice Queen or Atomic.
Demon King, Strongest in History, Strongest of Today, Corrupted Excalibur. These carry serious progression and remain viable in most Sea 2 content without requiring extreme grind investment.
Shadow Monarch Sword (pre-craft stage), Scent of Pride, Love Maiden, Dragon Slayer. Good for midgame farming, Shadow Monarch Sword is the standout here for mob clearing. Beginner players should target Ichigo first, then push toward Legendary.

Strongest Shinobi remains the top melee spec overall. Its smooth animations, massive AoE, and low cooldowns make it unbeatable for mob farming and AFK sessions. For AFK mob farming, stack these:
Ice Queen is the current best sword for active play — fastest V Move cooldown, massive AoE, and strong iFrames. Atomic is best-in-slot for AFK mob farming due to its wider skill coverage.
The strongest Shinobi leads the melee tier list. It has the largest AoE, lowest cooldowns, and smoothest animations of any spec, ideal for both farming and boss fights.
Sea 2 added four new melee specs (Cosmic Being, The World, Frieren, Castorice) and a new Mythical sword, Dragon Goddess, crafted from Sea Serpent and Kraken drops. The level cap also jumped to 16,000.
Eminence is the top farming clan, giving +35% DMG, +55% Max HP, +12% Sword DMG, and +12% Luck. Frostbane is the best sword-specific clan at +40% DMG and +10% Sword DMG.
For swords, Swordblessed (+20% Sword DMG Multi) or Sunborn are best-in-slot. For melee, use Warlord or Oni (+20% Melee DMG Multi). For drop farming, Kitsune (+25% Luck Multi) is top tier.
