Table Of Contents

The Hogyoku Quest is your only way to unlock Soul Society Sailor Piece’s most exciting end-game island added in the latest massive update. To complete it, you must collect 6 Hogyoku Fragments scattered across different islands in a specific order. Miss the order, and they won’t register. Here’s the full breakdown:

Fragment IslandLocation
1Snow IslandTree branch near a red mushroom
2Shibuya StationRooftop near the green LED screen
3Hueco MundoWooden branch right of the Aizen boss
4Shinjuku IslandLedge inside/beside the tall slanted building
5Slime IslandTree branch past the Slime Warriors
6Judgement IslandRock ledge on the right coastal cliffside

How to Start the Hogyoku Quest?

Before hunting fragments, you must activate the quest first.

  1. Open the Teleportation Portal and travel to Hueco Mundo Island
  2. Head to the far back of the island β€” past the large bone remains β€” to the left of where Aizen spawns
  3. Speak with Gin, the quest NPC (white hair, blue swirling circle at his feet)
  4. Accept the Hogyoku Quest

⚠️ Requirement: You must be at least Level 8,500 to start this quest. If you’re below that, Gin won’t give you the quest.

Fragment 1 β€” Snow Island

Teleport to Snow Island and run straight to the back of the island toward the small hills. Look for a tree beside a red mushroom. Climb it and grab the glowing purple orb from its branch.

Fragment 2 β€” Shibuya Station

Head to Shibuya Station and look for the building at the center with red, green, and blue LED screens on its roof (near the Yuji boss spawn). Climb or fly to the top. The fragment sits in the corner in front of the green screen, near the building’s edge.

Fragment 3 β€” Hueco Mundo

Still on Hueco Mundo β€” but you can only collect this after getting Fragments 1 and 2. Head to the Aizen boss spawn area and look to his right. There’s a wooden root/branch structure growing out from the ground. The fragment is sitting on top of it.

Fragment 4 β€” Shinjuku Island

Teleport to Shinjuku Island and go to the tallest slanted building on the right (the one with the “Strongest in History” trainer on top). Jump across to the small rocky slab or platform protruding from the building directly across. The fragment is on that ledge.

Fragment 5 β€” Slime Island

On Slime Island, walk past the Slime Warriors. Find the largest tree in the area β€” the fragment is on one of its branches. It’s a visible purple glow, so it stands out against the tree once you’re close.

Fragment 6 β€” Judgement Island

Teleport to Judgement Island. From spawn, head right and climb the tallest rock/cliff formation along the coast. Once at the top edge, drop down a level or two to find the final Hogyoku Fragment resting on a small coastal ledge facing the ocean.

What to Do After Collecting All 6 Fragments?

Once you’ve grabbed all six in order, return to Gin on Hueco Mundo and talk to him. A Hogyoku Portal will appear right next to him β€” you have 120 seconds to step through before it closes.

After your first visit, Soul Society unlocks permanently in your Teleportation Portal. You won’t need to repeat the quest.

What’s inside Soul Society:

  • New NPCs and quests
  • Powerful enemies for high XP farming
  • The True Aizen (Aizen V2) weapon β€” exclusive to Soul Society
  • Rare drops and high-tier loot

πŸ’‘ Pro Tip: There’s also a separate Hogyoku Fragment item that drops from the Aizen world boss on Hueco Mundo (not the quest fragments). It has a 3.6% drop rate and requires Level 5,000 minimum to fight Aizen. Use Luck-boosting Runes to improve your odds.
